I love stories, whether a great book, a trip to the theatre or a film night. Everywhere in life are stories and the possibilities of stories yet to be experienced, just like in counselling where personal stories unfold at their own pace. I believe in the power of words to transform, the power of telling our stories, having our voices heard. I believe that our stories matter. I believe that whatever our last chapters have been, we have the power to write our next chapter - with acceptance, balance, compassion and understanding.

I treasure balancing the noise of busy modern life with quiet and calm. I bring that same sense of warmth, calm, down to earth and kindness and gentle acceptance, realness into my counselling work – creating a space where people can slow down, feel heard, reflect and explore what’s happening or happened in their lives and simply be themselves.
Whether you’re navigating overwhelm, anxiety, stress, burnout, or looking to reconnect with yourself, I aim to make therapy a place where you can breathe, reflect, and find your own way forward. I believe therapy can help you reconnect with who you are and find your own way forward.
After starting my counselling journey many, many years ago as a Volunteer Telephone Counsellor at ChildLine and a HE Certificate in Interpersonal Counselling (Person-Centred and Transactional Analysis) I gained extensive experience with children and young people with complex needs in youth work and youth justice roles. I shifted focus to supporting adults during lockdown in 2020. I qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and have completed post-qualifying specialised training in domestic abuse counselling, neurodiversity, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, trauma safety and stabilisation, therapeutic journaling, expressive writing, groupwork and cognitive behavioural techniques.
Aside from my private practice, I work as a freelance Associate Counsellor, a volunteer Counsellor at a charity offering an affordable counselling scheme, and a freelance Group Facilitator for an empowerment course for children and young people. I am also listed as a psychotherapeutic counsellor on Harley Therapy, an established UK therapy platform, where you can read feedback from clients I have supported - Kate Scott : Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
